Hochreiters Zur Bratwurst Tent at Oktoberfest
Hochreiters Zur Bratwurst is one of the most distinctive small tents on the Wiesn. The charming half-timbered building at Esperantoplatz — modeled after the historic Nuremberg Bratwurstglöckl — catches the eye from afar and invites visitors to linger with its wonderfully cozy atmosphere.
Since 2007, the Hochreiter family has run this special tent and turned it into a true institution at Oktoberfest. The centerpiece is the legendary grilled bratwurst, freshly grilled every day over an open beechwood fire — following a house recipe more than 45 years old. During the day the tent is a relaxed meeting point for families and food lovers; in the evenings it transforms into a lively party tent with live music until last call. Augustiner beer flows from original 200-liter wooden barrels — a treat like no other.

Food & Drink
The heart of Hochreiters Zur Bratwurst is the legendary grilled bratwurst — freshly grilled every day over an open beechwood fire, following a house recipe more than 45 years old. Alongside this, there is a hearty selection of other Bavarian delicacies such as pork knuckle, liver dumpling soup, and Obazda (a Bavarian cheese spread), as well as vegetarian options. As a special highlight, Augustiner beer is served from original 200-liter wooden barrels — one of the few tents on the Wiesn that still pours traditionally from the barrel. For something a little more festive, the BarVaria in the beer garden also offers Aperol Spritz, Prosecco, and Champagne.
Music & Atmosphere
Hochreiters Zur Bratwurst offers live music daily from midday until last call. In the afternoons, bands like Monaco Buam and the Heufelder provide authentic Wiesn atmosphere. From 6 PM, Ois Easy and the Wuidara Pistols crank things up with rock sounds. The rustic half-timbered building with its unique interior creates an atmosphere unlike any other — cozy by day, lively by night.
