The Volkssängerzelt Schützenlisl at Oktoberfest

The Volkssängerzelt Schützenlisl® at the Oide Wiesn celebrated its premiere in 2022 and carries on a tradition dating back to 1881. Named after the legendary waitress Coletta Möritz — the real "Schützenlisl" — the tent is entirely dedicated to Bavarian tavern folk music.

Festival host Lorenz Stiftl and program director Traudi Siferlinger (BR "Wirtshausmusikanten") focus on Gstanzl, couplets, and brass music in Bavarian dialect. The tent has been honored multiple times as an "Excellent Bavarian Festival Tent" and operates as a climate-neutral venue — 90% of its products carry the Bavarian organic certification.
