The Löwenbräu Tent at Oktoberfest

The Löwenbräu Festzelt is hard to miss at Oktoberfest: from a distance, the mighty lion atop the 37-meter-high tower greets you, and above the main entrance another lion keeps watch — its call of "Löööwenbräu" has long become a cult moment at the Wiesn. The Löwenbräu Festzelt first appeared at Oktoberfest in 1910 — today the tent and beer garden can accommodate around 8,500 people.

Guests particularly appreciate the family-friendly character of the Löwenbräu tent. During the day, many regulars are present, due in no small part to the tent's traditional character — in the evenings, the festzelt transforms into a lively party venue that delights locals and international guests alike.

Drinks at the Löwenbräu Festzelt

The centerpiece of the beverage selection at the Löwenbräu Festzelt is, of course, the famous Löwenbräu Festbier, which boasts an alcohol content of 6.0% and an original gravity of 13.8%. The beer has a golden color with a doughy, grainy aroma and a hint of fresh hop notes—malty in flavor, with a crisp, dry finish. It is traditionally served in a Maßkrug, the classic one-liter beer mug that is simply part of the Oktoberfest experience. In addition to the Löwenbrauerei’s smooth beer, guests can also expect warm hospitality and delicious Bavarian delicacies. Those who prefer not to drink alcohol will also find alternatives on the drink menu, ensuring that the Löwenbräu Festzelt has the perfect drink for every visitor.

Music & Ambiance

In the evenings, the festival hall is bathed in the bright glow of 16,000 LED lights, the impressive arched beams are decorated with yellow fabric drapes, and the boxes are traditionally decorated in white and blue. The band Die Heldensteiner has all the classics in their repertoire — from "Fürstenfeld" to "Skandal im Sperrbezirk." The house cover version of the Beatles classic "Hey Jude" is legendary and ranks among the best musical performances at the entire Oktoberfest.
