Café Theres at Oktoberfest
Café Theres stands on a very special spot at the Wiesn: exactly where the 1810 wedding celebration of Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese took place — the occasion that gave birth to Oktoberfest itself.
As the oldest coffee tent at the Wiesn, its history stretches back to 1950. In 2023, the tent was completely redesigned — featuring beautiful hand-painted murals by artist Silvie Penelope Schmidt, depicting Munich's most beautiful spots in the English Garden. Café Theres is the only festival tent at Oktoberfest with its own patisserie directly on the festival grounds.

Food & Drink
Café Theres offers a selection of fine wines, Prosecco, sparkling wine, Champagne, fresh cocktails and long drinks, as well as a wide range of coffee drinks and non-alcoholic beverages. The culinary heart of the tent is the in-house patisserie: freshly baked cakes, pastries, and the legendary traditional treat Theresienbusserl fill the tent with an irresistible aroma daily. Rounding it out are hearty small hot and cold dishes — perfect for a family lunch or an evening with friends.
Music & Atmosphere
The right sound is provided by the "Monaco Allstars" led by musician Tobias Weber, who played for years with LaBrassBanda and internationally with Chaka Khan — music that is traditional, handcrafted, yet thoroughly modern. On weekends in the afternoons, Johannes & Jonas, Munich twin brothers, bring relaxed jazz and funk vibes with trumpet, flugelhorn and trombone. In the evenings, the cozy coffee tent transforms into a lively party zone — warm and festive at the same time.
